Chaplaincy Work

Our chaplaincy work underpins all we do at St Anne’s. All students contribute in a variety of ways to live out our Vision Statement. Chaplaincy is a service to all as we believe all people are made in God’s image and have their own unique spirituality to discover. As a school, an important aspect of our work is about discovering and developing gifts, talents and vocation.

All of our students have the opportunity for leadership within chaplaincy as they all lead morning prayers within their tutors groups. In addition each tutor group has a student leader with chaplaincy responsibilities and we have 7 chaplaincy prefects in Year 11. Many other students get involved by joining other groups linked to chaplaincy, such as our charity volunteers and cake bakers for events.

Each year the school supports a range of charities. House Charity events this year have included a treasure hunt & escape room, bake sales, hot chocolate, cupcake decorating, chocolate tombola, and raffle. There was also Giving Tuesday Christmas gifts and treats in aid of charity and a mini fair run by one of our Head Girls. Students have raised over £3500 in 2022-23!

Internationally, we support CAFOD at their Harvest Fast Day and through tutor group Lent projects. We also have a team of Sixth Formers following CAFOD’s Young Leaders’ Programme.
