St Anne’s Catholic School and Sixth Form College

Sustainable Travel Plan

Introduction

We have worked with major local public transport companies to provide a service where bus and train tickets for travel to and from St. Anne’s Catholic School can be ordered directly through the school.

We have managed to secure preferential rates with the travel companies so that in most cases tickets purchased directly through the school will be at a reduced rate.

First Bus have altered the route of the X4 and X5 buses both in the morning and afternoon during term time to pick up and drop off at Southampton Central Railway Station. All students travelling by train or by buses with stops at West Quay will have the opportunity to be dropped off directly outside the school in Carlton Road by purchasing an additional ticket.

Planning Your Journey

Once you have chosen your preferred route we recommend you search the bus stops by the bus stop code on Google Street View to give you a clear idea of where to go. For example,  bus stop 'BI' at West Quay is for the X4/X5 connection in the mornings.

Before ordering a Scholar’s Pass, please check prices with the travel company directly as you may find that buying a monthly or weekly U16 ticket directly through them is a cheaper option. Also, some companies occasionally run promotional offers which may be cheaper than the Scholar’s Pass. We suggest you review these before ordering your ticket from the school as no refunds are given once an order is placed.

Please note that passes are non-refundable and a charge will be made for replacements if they are lost or damaged.
