Level 3 Travel and Tourism

Introduction

Do you like travelling around the world?  Do you want to be involved in the airline or cruise industry?  Do see yourself working in the travel industry? Do you know that the cruise industry employs over 2000 people in Southampton?  Is this an employment sector that interest you? 

If so this is an exciting course that gives the learner a detailed insight into the travel and tourism industry. Since 2010, tourism has been the fastest growing sector in the UK in employment terms. Britain is forecast to have a tourism industry worth over £257 billion by 2025.   This course could lead to a plethora of job opportunities.

Extra-Curricular Activities

This course naturally lends itself to visits beyond the college to get first-hand experience which will bring the subject to life and put your learning into context. There will be lots of visits to some of the places studied.

Entry Requirements

At least a B grade in GCSE Leisure and Tourism or Business studies or Geography.

The skills needed for this course are:
